Scaling quality for Sabbar’s recruitment platform

The complexity across multiple applications

At the heart of its innovation, Sabbar, a Saudi tech startup, had a powerful technology solution that streamlines the recruitment process like never before. By seamlessly connecting talented individuals possessing on-demand skills, such as baristas, cashiers or kitchen staff, with their prospective partners, Sabbar opens up a realm of possibilities for both job seekers and businesses alike.  

As back-office teams used web applications to oversee multiple related operations by giggers and partners, they needed to introduce, establish and maintain the QA testing process to test Sabbar’s systems, including highly critical payments and invoicing processes. The cross-platform mobile application, designed for Sabbar’s partners to support shift scheduling and worker ratings. Additionally, Sabbar required a regression testing suite that could be integrated with the existing CI/CD pipeline. 

The approach

A testing framework for continuous quality

With Solvd’s support, Sabbar’s specialists began by writing a testing strategy documentation and revising the existing test cases. They created new valid test cases as per the requirements of the QA process implementation and based on the functionality that was currently in use. They also tested the newly implemented functions, such as data analytics. 

Sabbar ensured smooth operation by testing three applications that required new test suites: those for Giggers, Partner and Admin. Moreover, the quality engineering team prepared test documentation for new functionalities and continuous regression testing.  

The outcome

A future-proof testing foundation

Sabbar significantly improved the quality of its platform, received a well-tuned testing system and test suites that its QA and testing team could use for the future. As a result, this stable testing system enabled them to take the next step and integrate automated QA testing processes to accelerate releases and ensure consistent quality at scale.
