From idea to product through MVP

The challenge

Turning a great vision into product

The bright idea behind Mindgram, a mental well-being platform with online courses and sessions with coaches, psychologists and psychotherapists, was forged in the minds of the founders. It was sparked during the COVID-19 pandemic, where a vast increase in mental issues throughout the locked-down society was observed. And so Mindgram teamed up with Solvd to provide support in these hard times – in an innovative form of an employee benefits app.

However, it was only a starting point, lacking a technology foundation and the necessary environment to build a product.  And that’s where Solvd was asked for support.

The approach

Multi-stage strategy: workshop, POC and MVP

The platform had to include the availability of live sessions with therapists, psychologists, and coaches, access to webinars about well-being and self-development. It was also necessary to enable expert-user communication, among much more. With an exciting idea and a clear vision, the team turned to Solvd to help shape these into a viable market product. It was necessary to work in an agile environment, deliver as high a return for the budget as possible and build the platform in an end-to-end manner.

To make the work on the project smoother and better organized, Mindgram started with an ideation workshop that reforged the idea into a list of features and functions, later broken into tasks for the coding team.

The next step was building a Proof of Concept (PoC) by spotting the sweet spots on the intersection of the available tools and internally developed code. The team decided to use Zoom as an online video platform but to develop the chat feature internally. The POC was delivered in agile sprints, later evolving into a fully functional MVP that delivered business value.

The outcome

Adaptability and flexibility at core

With the ideation workshops, POC and MVP, the company could test the idea, validate it, and start gaining clients in an agile way. The company is still expanding, having many clients, with Bolt and Infermedica among others.
