Within 2 years of our collaboration, they have grown from a small start-up into a strong team including experienced engineers and specialists. Their namesake app FitBod is a fitness app that creates a daily and deeply personalized workout routine by analyzing tracked workout data.

Challenges and Solutions

  • App’s core refactoring in several steps. Short timeframes

    Despite starting literally from scratch, we had to test every single feature and various user scenarios. The decision was to embark on our QA mission with the maximum reach of regression testing

  • Testing in-app purchases after iOS updates

    Releasing iOS 12 & 13, Apple made it impossible to use Sandbox accounts in the TestFlight beta system and that presented a real problem. We were determined to accomplish the task, so our specialists switched to real accounts and payments

  • Simulating the activity and workout routine of a real user

    To identify the bugs that real users usually face, we had to simulate daily workout scenarios, which means leading the lifestyle of an athlete in the app. That was very different from just passing the test scripts

    Сollaboration with FitBod has brought our engineers a whole new experience, not only did they improve their programming skills, they challenged themselves with weightlifting and a healthy lifestyle

Results

Whilst working with Solvd for over 2 years now FitBod has significantly enhanced the functionality and performance of their app. Due to the continuous QA processes and desire for perfection, all the key code scopes and backend were reworked and optimized. Repeatedly we initiated full refactoring to make the app as sharp it can be.
