AAIF is a Linux Foundation project aimed at the open, collaborative development of agentic AI standards and protocols
Walnut Creek, CA, May 18, 2026 – Today Solvd, an AI engineering company, announces it has officially joined the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF). As organizations move from experimentation to deploying agentic AI in production, the need for shared standards and interoperability is becoming critical. AAIF is a Linux Foundation project focused on the open, collaborative development of AI infrastructure. Launched in December 2025, AAIF’s Founding members include Anthropic, AWS, Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI.
As a member, Solvd’s engineering leaders will contribute hands-on implementation expertise to AAIF working groups with a particular focus on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the emerging standard for how AI agents connect with external tools and data sources. Solvd will also contribute to initiatives around agent project context (AGENTS.md) and open-source agent tooling.
While just 23% of enterprise businesses today report using agentic AI at least moderately, that number is expected to rise to 74% in just two years, with 85% of companies expecting to customize agents to fit their business needs. Because the efficacy of agentic systems relies on network externalities, establishing shared standards and protocols is vital for seamless orchestration and widespread enterprise adoption.

Additionally, Solvd engineers will be contributing to key industry events hosted by AAIF, specifically the MCP Dev Summit Europe (Amsterdam, September 17–18) and AGNTCon + MCPCon (San Jose, October 22–23).
